Description

A unique viticultural mosaic on 220 hectares of privately owned land has been created, where various different international and indigenous varieties are cultivated. The strict application of the most suitable vine-growing methods ensures excellent crops of grapes. Following the harvest, the years of experience are employed to make quality use of the produce, which is vinified in small individual batches per terroir and carefully shaped by combining modern technology with time-tested traditional methods. Domaine Hatzimichalis wines have been awarded with more than 250 international awards and accolades.

Color

Deep garnet color.

Nose

Pronounced intense aromas. Ripe fruits, black cherry, blackcurrant, plum, blackberry, smoke, wet wood, violet, fig, cedar and vanilla.

Palate

The oak is quite dominant but is balanced from the fruity character and spices creating a plethora of flavours in your palate. This balanced and complex wine is also high in tannins, which combination creates a wonderful aftertaste as well. Its ageing potential gives the wine many potential tertiary aromas, including plum, tobacco, mushrooms and coffee.
