Description

The references to the Virgin Mary in the New Testament begin with the Annunciation of the Virgin, that is, the appearance in Mary of the Archangel Gabriel and the transfer of the joyful news that she is the chosen one to bring into the world the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

References continue throughout the description of Christ’s life, from his birth to his crucifixion. According to Christian tradition, the Virgin Mary was born in Jerusalem. She was the daughter of the breeder Joachim and Anna, who came from the royal family of David. Anna was infertile, but her infertility was resolved and the Virgin Mary was born. The “occult” texts mention the Entrances, the Assumption and its Ascension.
