Description

Flavia Julia Helen, (248 / 9-328 / 9) also known as Saint Helen, Helen Augusta and Helen of Constantinople, was empress of the Roman Empire and mother of Constantine the Great.

She came from a wealthy class, was a Greek woman from Asia Minor, originally from the Greek city of Drepano in Bithynia in Asia Minor and became the wife of the Roman emperor Constantius Chlorus.

The Roman Emperor Constantine was named Great for his complex work, which directly or indirectly influenced world history. The Orthodox Church proclaimed him a Saint and Apostle because he strongly supported Christianity.

The Roman Catholic Church has not included him in its Saints, because the historical investigation charges him with the order for the murder of Crispus ‘son and Faustus’ second wife.
